Foundation drain redo for a historic renovation
We are mid renovation on an old cape near the state house in Augusta, correcting decades of water intrusion at the foundation. We excavated down to the footing on two sides and installed a proper drain with fabric, pipe, and eleven tons of #89 as the surround stone, cleaner and more consistent than the mixed bag of pea gravel and dirt we dug out of the original drain. Nice drainage stone, color runs darker
We used #89 around the foundation of our cottage near Boothbay Harbor to stop the basement seepage we get every spring. About five tons went in along a new perimeter drain, and it has kept the sump pump from running nearly as often. Only surprise was the color coming in more gray than the tan shown on the website, which bugs my wife more than me since it shows against the white trim.

Kept the barn foundation dry all winter
Our horse barn in Turner had water wicking up along the foundation every time the snow melted fast, right into the tack room. We dug a trench around three sides and filled it with six tons of #89, which drains quick and doesn't hold moisture against the sill like the pea gravel we tried first.
